Terms of Use
The terms for using Not Today, Phone and its app-protection features.
Effective September 27, 2026. Not Today, Phone for iPhone is provided by Spam Musubi Technologies LLC (“we,” “us”). These terms describe the app and its services. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Your app license
Your license to the iPhone app is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless a separate custom license is provided through the App Store. These terms supplement that license with details about Not Today, Phone. They do not replace Apple’s applicable terms or limit rights you have under consumer law.
Screen Time protection and your choices
Not Today, Phone helps you add a deliberate pause before using apps you select. You authorize protection through Apple’s Screen Time controls and can change your selections, turn protection off, or revoke authorization. Use the app only on a device you own or are authorized to manage, and only with the permissions required for that device.
Protection, usage reports, and temporary access depend on iOS permissions, system scheduling, device settings, and supported app versions. We cannot promise uninterrupted blocking, exact enforcement timing, or a particular reduction in screen time. Keep essential communication and emergency services accessible. The app is a personal productivity tool, not an emergency service or medical treatment.
Ads, waiting, and temporary passes
The initial release is free, with ads for our other apps and no subscription or in-app purchases. The app shows the available wait or viewing requirement and pass conditions before you continue. Completing the required active viewing time can make a temporary pass available; the Continue button appears when that requirement has been met, even if the current clip has not ended. For the launch house-ad flow, the pass begins when playback is dismissed after completion.
Time spent with the app in the background, buffering, or loading does not count toward required viewing. Leaving before completing the requirement does not earn a pass. You do not have to click an ad, buy anything, or install another app to complete the requirement. You can choose to stop instead of proceeding.
Pass availability and duration are shown in the app and may depend on the current configuration. Passes are app features with no monetary value; they are not transferable, redeemable for cash, or a guarantee of future access. Ads and network services may be unavailable, and the app may offer a pause-based alternative where supported.
Privacy and local information
Our Privacy Policy explains local Screen Time data, analytics, ad-video delivery, support messages, and privacy requests. Not Today, Phone has no user account. Local settings and history may be lost if you delete the app or reset your device; we do not promise cloud backup or recovery.
Acceptable use and ownership
Use the app lawfully and respect other people’s devices, privacy, and rights. Do not interfere with our services, distribute malicious software through them, or attempt unauthorized access. The app, artwork, and other content belong to us or their respective licensors. Your use remains subject to the applicable app license and any rights or exceptions provided by law.
Other apps and services
Ads may link to other apps or services. Choosing to visit, download, or use them is optional, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. An ad in Not Today, Phone does not grant access to another product or guarantee its availability, pricing, or features. Apple operates the App Store under its own terms.
Availability and responsibility
We may maintain, update, change, or discontinue features as the app and supported systems evolve. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app and services are provided as available, and the warranty and liability provisions of the applicable app license apply. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or removes warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Stopping use and changes to these terms
You may stop using the app at any time. You can turn off protection or revoke Screen Time authorization through the available controls before uninstalling. Termination of your app license is governed by the applicable license agreement.
We may update these terms when the app or its services change. The effective date above identifies this version. We will provide additional notice or request agreement when required by applicable law.
