Not Today, Phone privacy
Your apps are your business.
Your selected apps and Screen Time reports stay on your device. Not Today, Phone does collect limited usage and technical information to operate and improve the app.
Effective September 27, 2026. This policy covers Not Today, Phone for iPhone, operated by Spam Musubi Technologies LLC (“we,” “us”). For questions or privacy requests, email contact@spammusubitech.com.
Screen Time and information on your device
With your permission, Not Today, Phone uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks to protect apps you select and provide temporary passes. App-selection tokens, protection settings, pass state, reminders, and choice history are stored on your device and shared with Not Today, Phone’s own extensions as needed. Screen Time reports are displayed through Apple’s reporting framework.
We do not send your selected apps’ names or tokens, the contents of those apps, your browsing history, or your Screen Time report data to our analytics service or advertisers. A count of how many apps you select can be included in usage analytics.
Usage analytics and technical information
We use PostHog to understand how Not Today, Phone works and improve reliability. It receives explicitly recorded interactions, such as onboarding steps, Screen Time permission outcomes, settings changes, screens visited within Not Today, Phone, ad and waiting progress, pass attempts, and whether you choose to stop instead of continue.
These events can include timestamps, durations, controlled error codes, app and operating-system versions, device context, a randomly generated installation identifier, and identifiers for individual attempts. The installation identifier can associate events from the same installation even though Not Today, Phone has no account or login.
PostHog also automatically records fatal app crashes and sends crash reports on the next app launch. Reports can include exception details, stack traces, app and operating-system versions, device context, and the installation identifier. We use crash reports to diagnose failures and improve reliability.
Online requests also disclose an IP address and network information to the receiving service. Our PostHog project retains IP addresses with events and uses GeoIP enrichment to derive an approximate city, region, or country. Not Today, Phone does not request access to precise device location. We do not enable PostHog session replay, automatic capture of screen contents or taps, or surveys.
We use this information for product analytics, feature configuration, and troubleshooting. See PostHog’s privacy policy for information about its services.
Advertising and video delivery
The initial release uses house ads promoting our other apps. Video files are downloaded over HTTPS from a content-delivery provider and cached on your device. The provider receives network information, including your IP address and requested file, to deliver and secure the service. Not Today, Phone does not attach your selected-app identities or an advertising identifier to these video requests.
Not Today, Phone records ad interactions and technical outcomes in the analytics described above. Opening an advertised app’s App Store page is optional and is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. You do not have to click an ad or install another app to complete the wait.
Google Mobile Ads and Meta software are included in the app’s code, but their advertising and event services are not enabled in the initial release configuration described here. We will update this policy and the relevant App Store disclosures before enabling data collection that changes these practices, and request permission where required.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond, investigate problems, and handle privacy requests. Please avoid sending sensitive information or private Screen Time details. There is no account registration, payment, or subscription in Not Today, Phone.
How we use and share information
We use information to provide the app, maintain its security and reliability, understand feature use, respond to you, and meet legal obligations. Service providers, including analytics, video hosting, and email providers, process information to support these purposes. We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate protections.
We do not sell your personal information or use the initial release’s analytics to track you across other companies’ apps and websites for targeted advertising.
Retention and security
We retain analytics and support records only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, subject to provider retention settings and applicable legal requirements. Support correspondence may be retained to respond to you and maintain necessary records. Local information remains until it is cleared, replaced, or removed with the app, subject to device and backup behavior.
We use reasonable safeguards and encrypted network connections to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You can manage protected apps, turn protection off, change optional reminders, and clear local choice history in Not Today, Phone Settings. You can revoke Screen Time authorization through the system’s controls. Clearing choice history does not remove active or saved passes and does not delete analytics already sent. The initial release does not include an in-app analytics opt-out.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact contact@spammusubitech.com to make a request. We may need information to verify your request and locate relevant records. Because we do not maintain user accounts, an email address alone may not identify installation-level analytics; we will explain any limitations.
International processing
We are based in the United States and use service providers that may process information in the United States or other countries. Where applicable, processing relies on providing the service, our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving it, consent, or legal obligations. We use applicable safeguards for international transfers where required. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Children and families
Not Today, Phone is a general-purpose productivity app, not a service specifically directed to children under 13. Its App Store content rating describes age suitability and is separate from this privacy policy. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Not Today, Phone changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required.
